Michel Montecrossa says about ‘The Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2012 in Mirapuri’:
“The origin of the ‘Michel & Bob Dylan Fest Series’ was a man asking me if I could sing a Bob Dylan song in my next concert. I fulfilled his wish. After that I was asked ever more to include Bob Dylan songs in my concerts, as people said they like my way of singing Bob Dylan songs and they like to hear them together with my own songs as a positive and stimulating experience. Out of that the ‘Michel & Bob Dylan Fest Series’ evolved, beginning in 2001 and the ‘The Michel & Bob Dylan Fest 2012′ is the 12th time that it happened. It includes my own new songs as well as Bob Dylan songs from 1961 till 2012. The opening song ‘Talking Big Festival Waves’ I wrote for celebrating in 2012 the 20th birthday of the Spirit of Woodstock Festival in Mirapuri, the City of Peace and Futureman in Europe, Italy. It is followed by a Bob Dylan song from 1961 ‘East Orange, New Jersey’, of which I only found the lyrics so that I composed my own tune for it. Some of the other Bob Dylan songs are co-written by Bob Dylan with other musicians like Bono from U2 (‘Love Rescue Me’), Helena Springs (‘Coming From The Heart’, ‘The Wandering Kind’), Michael Bolton (‘Steel Bars’), Tom Petty (‘Jammin’ Me’) and George Harrison from the Beatles (‘I Don’t Want To Do It’). ‘You Belong To Me’ is a 1952 monster hit by Chilton Price with some participation of Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart which was covered by Bob Dylan and used for the soundtrack of the 1994 movie ‘Natural Born Killers’. ‘The Love That Faded’ is a song composed by Bob Dylan for the lyrics with the same title by Hank Williams. The other tracks are Bob Dylan originals including rarities like ‘Jesus Is The One’, ‘Trouble In Mind’, ‘I Will Love Him’ and more. My own brands include New-Topical-Songs like ‘Don’t Cheat’, ‘Bouncin’! (With Gangsta Bankas And Corrupto Politos)’, ‘Try It Harder All Ye Helpless Leaders! Try It Harder!’, ‘Damn Hot – The Vision Of Balance’, ‘Cyberrocker Morfin’ U’, ‘Love & Unity Dance’, ‘Coffee And Sandwich Blues’ and many more.”
